The Wild West

I grew up watching Westerns with my dad.  We loved to watch Clint Eastwood tell the bad guys “Make My Day!” When I saw this Tim Holtz stamp set called, “Wild West” I knew I just had to do something with it.

This is a technique in Tim Holtz’s Creative Chemistry 101 class called called “Archival Resist.” I love the way the archival ink resists the Distress Ink.

In Tim Holtz’s Creative Chemistry class101, we are working with alcohol inks and archival inks this week.  His class is so amazing.  In a video he first describes the properties of the product.  Then he shows how to use the product in the next video.  The technique above is called “Alcohol Ink Agates”

Castle

One of my all time favorite shows has ended.  Castle is about an author, Richard Castle (played by Nathan Fillion), that needs a new muse, so he begins to follow a New York homicide detective around who is Kate Beckett (played by Stana Katic). The show combines my love of mysteries and reading. There are even episodes where Castle is playing poker with some of the great mystery writers such as James Patterson and Michael Connelly.  Castle had such a strong following that an anonymous mystery writer actually wrote books that you can find in your local library. Now DVDs of all the seasons can be purchased.
