Lines, Circles, Rectangles, Oh My!

Art to the 5th Academy

Documented Life Project

The Journal

Last year the Art to the 5th Academy had art journal prompts each Saturday. I really enjoyed the prompts.  You can view the past challenges here.

Art Challenge:  Gelli Plate

On Wednesday I posted art I found in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina this past weekend.  You can find the post here.  I used that beautiful artwork to inspire my Gelli Plate journal page.  I just realized that I have 2 small Gelli plates, one a circle, and the other a rectangle.  I placed the Gelli Plate on a clear stamp block, added some paint, and various stencils.  Then I stamped the Gelli Plate onto my journal page.  This is so unlike anything I have ever done before. There is WHITE space on it and I like it.  Weird! 🙂
Happy Creating!

  1. Jade, again you amaze me! And there definitely is white space. I absolutely love it! There is a simplicity about it even with all the patterns in it. You really hit the mark and now you are caught up with me, as far as Artist to the 5th is concerned. I had better get busy.

  2. Beautiful! Always so impressed with your work. This is poetry in motion right here. (And BTW thank you so much for your wonderful email that I’ve not yet had a chance to respond to. I want to thank you for your time and generous help & advice, Jade!)
